About Jaime:
Your Partner in Practical Growth
I'm Jaime Costello, an MPH-trained prevention professional and the founder of QuietWater. For more than twenty years I've designed, managed, and evaluated prevention and training programs, from a single rural county coalition to a national network.
My work has centered on substance use, mental health, and behavioral addictions, with a strong public health foundation. I've worked with youth and families, older adults, schools, community coalitions, criminal justice professionals, clinicians, state agencies, and industry employers.
I started QuietWater to help organizations that know a need is there but don't yet have the time, people, or in-house expertise to take it on. I step in as flexible expert capacity, then make sure your team is ready to carry the work forward.
Experience in Practice
Building a statewide prevention system. Led prevention and training for a statewide nonprofit, supported a team of eleven regional professionals, and built a network of 100+ licensed treatment providers.
Creating training infrastructure. Launched a first learning management system, wrote foundational curricula, and ran continuing education for hundreds of professionals each year.
Producing events. Led conferences of 150 to 650+ attendees, from speaker recruitment to continuing education credit.
Leading a national helpline network. Directed 24 contact centers handling 30,000+ calls, texts, and chats a month, set quality standards, and led a $1M+ modernization effort from planning to delivery.
Mobilizing communities. Coordinated a federally funded coalition from assessment through strategic planning and evaluation.
How I Work
I listen first.
I talk with your team and stakeholders before recommending anything.
I build custom, not template.
Your goals, mission and resources are specific to you, and the work should be too.
I aim to make myself unnecessary.
You keep the tools, training, and processes, not a dependence on me.
I help you show results.
Evaluation is built in from the start, so you have evidence to earn support and funding.
